Having a strange issue with iSSH on my iPad. The colours randomly go
screwy with the app having a 'grey' screen effect occurring. The
effect is like looking through a grey tinted screen and it makes it
very difficult to use, especially in a terminal screen. Colours are
all 'washed out', with reds looking slightly orange and white looking
very grey etc.

Blacks go grey, light grey goes dark grey - it's almost inverted.

The issue occurs randomly, with the 'normal' colours returning only
after a period of non-use. The issue appears during screen changes,
accessing a configuration or switching between sessions etc.

I was thinking that a delete and re-install might fix, but thought I'd
check here first. Is there a way to reset the app to defaults maybe?
Any help appreciated. There is a screen-grab here:

Someone recently provided very detailed steps in replicating this. As
such I've finally tracked it down and will make sure this bug goes
away for good. (I mean it this time!)

It should be. Are you seeing this with 6.1? It's related to the transparent keyboard being active at sometime. If you're not using it simply disabling the transparent keyboard resolves this competely.

Was this fixed?  I'm still seeing it on my iPad.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Dean.  I did not know about the transparency connection, I have gone in and set it to not transparent and I'll see if it occurs again.

For the record, I am one of the "abandoned tribe" using the iPad 1.  I am as upgraded as I can get at iOS 5.1.1.  I also have an iPhone 4S running 6.1.1 and I do not see it there.  Although I do almost no VNC with the iPhone so maybe I wouldn't see it as much.

Thanks again.

Hello Dean, just want to be sure you know this is stil actively an issue on my iPad, basically happens all the time on the iPad with the transparent keyboard.
Yes though a workaround is a bluetooth keyboard or a solid keyboard.
