Congress Bill HR 9670: HOA Ham Antennas

Hello Dr Schrier,

 

You are my WA-08 representative.

I am a member of Issaquah Amateur Radio Club and the Issaquah Citizen Corps.

We are volunteer first responders.  We need means to communicate.

(Note: the mayor of Issaquah and her husband are trained first responders, too.)

 

HOA = Home Owners Association

Some HOA restrict amateur radio antennas, usually for aesthetic reasons.

 

I have amateur radio antennas, one disguised as a flagpole.

This has utility WHEN an earthquake hits our neighborhood.

(Hopefully, not in my lifetime.)

 

My request, as a constituent: support HR 9670, in the current congress or the next.

Support should be bipartisan; most citizens want to survive environmental disasters.
