This is Dave, KK6DF, a new member, and I wanted to let folks know about an upcoming Ham Radio On-line Conference happening in Feb 2022 (free to attend).

It's the annual BayNet Radio Conference on Sat, Feb 5th from 8:30-6pm known as "BayCon" (excuse the pun).  You can register for tickets at EventBrite , and it be hosted on YouTube and  Zoom.   They give a series of talks on various amateur radio subjects, varying from Building Go-Kits to Appliances for operating FM satellites.   I've attended these conferences for the past 5 years, and they are always interesting, relevant and informative.

The ham club sponsoring the conference is the BayNet amateur radio club (WW6BAY)  in the San Francisco South Bay area.   Their repeaters cover the Bay Area, and their focus in on public service and emergency communications for amateur radio.  One of their main members is George Zafiropoulos, KJ6VU, who you may know as the host of the Ham Radio Workbench podcast.

The line-up for talks this year include:
  • John VE6EY Diversity reception
  • Kyle AA0Z Getting started with Node Red
  • Mark Smith An Appliance For Operating FM Satellites
  • Vince VE6LK Building Your Go-Kit
  • Marcel AI6MS Radio Propagation Mapping
  • Christian NV2J Radio control keypad for the FT891
  • Mike VA3MW LAN replacing RS232
  • George KJ6VU BenchDuino Arduino Nano Dev Board

enjoy,

Dave KK6DF
