Class starts on Saturday May 7 and finished on May 14, 2022, with the test starting a 1 PM.  The class fee is $15 at the door, but the test is FREE. The FCC charges $15 for a New License.

 

Date   May 7 and 14, 2022

 

Time    8 AM to 4 PM both days, May 7 and 14, 2022. 

Test at 1 PM on May 14, 2022

 

Location

    Issaquah Community Center

    301 Rainier Blvd South

    Issaquah, WA 98-027

Upstairs at the west end.  Classroom doors open onto the 1st Avenue SE street.

 

Breaks and Lunch

    There will be breaks throughout the day and a lunch break.  You can bring a lunch.  Coffee and juice will be provided.

 

What you need

    You will need pen, pencil and paper to take notes.

 

Test

   1     Bring a simple calculator for the test.  iPads and phones are not allowed.

   2    Government issued Photo ID

   3    Your FCC issued Federal Registration Number (FRN).  These are FREE from the FCC CORES web site.  It takes a few minutes, A parent can identify a child, but the child need their own FRN.  

   4    Laurel Test Application Form.  Please bring this with you on the first day.  It takes time to enter the information into the testing computer. This is an Official government test and need to be very accurate. 

 

This is a very exciting and cutting edge radio hobby. Glad you have decided to get involved. There will be several instructors to help you and answer your questions.
