The local auto rally group just bought several of these.
They are not a NMO base mount, so you cannot swap antenna masts easily; but for $25 including tax, they are quite a bargain for occasional use, or as a spare. PL-259 connector, so for use with a HT you will need a suitable adapter.
The 3" magnet holds very well.
