Valley Camp has been officially reserved for Field Day on Saturday, June 28.
For those who would like to make a camping reservation, please contact Teena Proehl at te...@valleycamp.org.
Tent and RV spaces are available. I would encourage you to schedule your space as soon as possible as Valley Camp can get busy in the summertime.  For more information on Valley Camp including rates, please go to their website at https://www.valleycamp.org/.  Valley Camp is located at:  49515 SE Middle Fork Rd, North Bend.

More details will be provided throughout the year.
We hope all of you will join us! Valley Camp is a remarkable place and a tremendous supporter of the ham radio community.

To all, especially Rod and Lara,

Having visited the Valley Camp web site I have a few questions that probably should have been asked last night.
1.  Where will we be operating?  Lower Meadow, in the tent sites, or the Upper Meadow?  I don't see the RV parking area.
2.  Which area is closest to our operations?  The tent area?
3.  Are we all to bring our own antennas?  I have Buddie antenna dipole that I could erect next to the van using two of the wheels  as two of the tie points.  It will do 40m, 20m, or 15m bands.
4.  Are the RV sites close to the antenna farm?
5.  Are the RV sites big enough for the van and the antenna?
6.  Are there parking spaces next to the tent sites?
7.  Would a tent site be better for the antenna?

Does anybody else have some questions?

73, Doyle (KA6MAT)

Hi Doyle, these are excellent questions.
 1.  Where will we be operating?   We will be in the Cedar Grove Picnic Shelter.  It’s quite large and has hosted many Field Days. (https://valleycamp.org/explore/picnicshelter/  click on “Cedar Gove Picnic Shelter” on the top right of the page to see pictures and get more information.) There are many RV sites close to the picnic shelter. You can see some of the RVs in the pictures on the website.   If you have concerns about walking,  you could park your vehicle in front of the picnic shelter and drive over to your tent site.
2.  Which area is closest to our operations?  The RV site.  You may be able reserve an RV site for your tent and have power available to you.   Teena at Valley Camp would be a great resource to talk to about which option would work best for you.
3.  Are we all to bring our own antennas?  This will be discussed closer to Field Day.  Generally, we let people bring antennas.  Keep in mind that Valley Camp has several antennas already up.  We will also have a band sign-up.
4.  Are the RV sites close to the antenna farm?   Yes.
5.  Are the RV sites big enough for the van and the antenna?  Yes.
6.  Are there parking spaces next to the tent sites?  Yes.
7.  Would a tent site be better for the antenna?  I believe this is a personal preference.  We can talk about this in greater detail as a group and those of us that have participated in Field Day over the years can provide more input.
Valley Camp also has shower and bathroom facilities (they are about a 1-2 minute walk from the picnic shelter).  There are currently discussions of renting a porta-potty to have something close to the picnic shelter.
Thank you for your questions.  We will continue to discuss details throughout the year.

Lara
