For the new SoilGrid250 data sets, is there a way of accessing .GDB preferrable or .SHP files??

Perhaps I am approaching this incorrectly, but I noticed the SoilGrid250 individual data sets are in GeoTiff format.  I need to convert each set to Polygons, ideally as a Geodatabase GDB or Shapefile. The Bedrock Depth file has been processing approximately 24 hours now and is only 31% complete (and I have a very strong PC with dual Xeon Processors and 64GB RAM).  Is there a way of obtaining these files as .GDB preferable or .SHP??

Dear Joe,

Why do you want to convert the GeoTiff into a vector layer?

Cheers,

Eloi?

Hi Eloi,

I use the data for among other things underground analytics for Pipeline.  Accordingly, I need to map out the data by polygon, and then translate the values at depth to the pipeline, i.e. pH, ELCO, etc.  I am use to working with .GDB and .SHP files, and have been using your wise_30sec_v1 file ... translating Raster to BIL Polygons, and then over to .GDB, etc.

Not use to working with GeoTiff formats.

Thanks,

Joe
