Dear ICA Members,
The International Council on Archives (ICA) is pleased to announce the launch of several calls for nominations for key governance and leadership roles within our organisation. These positions offer a valuable opportunity for members to contribute to ICA’s strategic direction and to represent the global archival community.
We warmly encourage you to consider putting your name forward or nominating a colleague who could help strengthen ICA’s work and represent the diversity and expertise of our international network.
Open Calls for Nominations
The following four positions are now open:
Vice-President Finance (2026–2030)
✅ Play a key role in overseeing ICA’s financial strategy and governance, ensuring the responsible management of the organisation’s resources.
President of the Forum of National Archivists – FAN (2026–2029)
✅ Lead FAN, guide its Steering Committee, and represent national archival institutions within ICA governance as a member of the Executive Board.
Member at Large – Category D (2026–2030)
✅ Represent ICA’s individual members on the Executive Board and ensure their perspectives contribute to shaping the organisation’s priorities.
Programme Commission (PCOM) Members-at-Large (2027–2030)
✅ Join the Programme Commission to contribute to the development of ICA’s professional programmes, conferences, and initiatives. Nominations are particularly encouraged from Asia & Oceania and Latin America & the Caribbean.

Following the nomination period, ICA will communicate the next steps for each call, including the election procedures.
