Subject: [ICA-l] Basic Archive Skills Training Day (Online Course) - New Date September 2026

Places are now available on Eventbrite for the Basic Archive Skills Training Day on Monday the 14th September 2026.

There are also still some places left for the Training Day on Monday the 20th July.

Please note that the running times for these live-participation online events are local time in the UK, and may therefore fall outside normal business hours in many time zones.

Details of these Training Days, and future ones as they arise, can be found on the Eventbrite page Archive Skills Training (from the BRA).

This popular online course, developed in 1991 by Margaret Crockett and Janet Foster, is now delivered by course facilitators Nicola Allen (Consultant Archivist and Records Manager) and Becky Sims (Head of Archives and Reader Services, University College London). They are joined by subject specialist speakers Mark Pomeroy (Archivist of the Royal Academy) and Liz Yamada (Senior Conservation Officer, Northamptonshire Archives and Heritage Service).

The course is administered by the British Records Association (BRA).

Early booking is recommended.

Best wishes,

Norman
