I am pleased to share that the first public version of Farinha has just been released.
Farinha is a free and open-source software platform designed for the description, organization, and online dissemination of archival and memory collections. It was created to support institutions, organizations, collectives, and individuals in broadening access to memory and documentary heritage.
Already in this first public release, Farinha includes support for ISDIAH, the registration of internal departments and units within institutions, ISAD(G), and collections with customizable fields, as well as batch import and several other features. The platform also incorporates recent technologies and resources, with particular attention to ease of installation, maintenance, and future development.
Farinha seeks to bring together archives, free software, and society through an open, modern tool that can be collectively improved over time.
The platform is available at: https://farinha.info
