Paper Conservation in Archival and Museum Collections, and for the General Public
Presented in Hebrew by Noa Cahaner McManus
In this lecture, I will introduce the field of paper conservation and the role of the conservator. I will discuss the challenges of preserving paper, stemming from the material’s inherent properties, environmental factors, and usage. Additionally, I will provide
basic guidelines for preventive conservation and the care of paper collections in both professional archives and home environments, with a focus on practical "dos and don'ts." Time will be reserved for questions, and you are welcome to bring examples for discussion
during the session.
