We have a woman friend, age 34, finishing architecture--very bright,
generous, tolerant of differences, well educated, secular, Israeli-born,
fluent in English, and attractive but is unable to find someone to establish
a family. She is looking for a potential husband, ages 30-40.
Blind dates seem not to work. On her first date she wears pants
so as not to delude potential husbands of wrong images but it seems to
backfire. (The old feeling that she is competing over who will wear the
pants etc.) She is also turned off (and rightly so) by men who only talk
about themselves, and rarely ask anything about her.
Our questions are: are there video matrimonial services for secular,
educated persons and if so, are they successful in matching up persons?
We told her that we would look into the matter as she is very shy and
feels that an unmarried 34 year-old women is doomed to old maidhood!
We're not convinced in her case and despite local prejudices.
Moreover, if someone is familiar with good, discrete, and very
professional video matrimonial services, please give us details
(address/phone number/ what not).
Thank you/ Wanting to help out a very special person
