Hello,
when R closes and I ask to save workspace I get the message:
[ cannot open compressed file ".RDataTmp" probable reason "Permision denied"  ]

But I canr fine this file .RDataTmp!
where should it be?

Thank you
Ronen

My guess is that you are using windows, launching R with the start menu icon.
This will start R in the binary's/executable's directory, which is probably not in a directory you have writing privileges in.

I would try changing the working directory before closing, or staring R by clicking on an .R or .Rdata file (that will set the working directory to the one where the file resides).

Does this help?

Thank you!
I didnt manage by clicking on an .r file
but I changed the working directory in the shortcut icon of R
and now it works

Thank you for enlightening me on the issue of working directory!
