Hi all,

For those of you who might be interested to know more about Boris Begelman, here is his CV.

May I remind you that a master class by Boris Begelman will take place at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance on Wednesday, March 17, at 13.00 – 17.00. The master class will be followed by a short recital (17.00 – 18.00) of works by Rogniono, Fontana, Bach and Leclair.

BORIS BEGELMAN was born in 1983 in Moscow and began studying violin in Moscow as well. Since 2002 till 2007 he was a student of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory’s Department of historical and contemporary performance as a violinist under supervision of Dmitry Sinkovsky. Now he is making postgraduate in Moscow Conservatory under supervision of professor Alexei Lubimov and «Biennio sperimentale di violino barocco» in Palermo Conservatory under supervision of  Enrico Onofri (violino) and Riccardo Minasi (musica insieme).

He took a part in workshops by Maria Leonhardt, Anton Schteck ,Thomas Zehetmair and many others. Boris played in joint concert programs with such musicians like Giovanni Antonini, Alexei Lubimov, Enrico Onofri, Riccardo Minasi, Alfredo Bernardini, Natalia Gutman, Dmitry Sinkovsky etc.

 As soloist and as a member of different ensembles he took a part in number of international festivals in Russia and abroad, such as Festival "In honor of Oleg Kagan" (Moscow), Innsbruck festival (Austria), "Oude muziek festival" (Utrecht), Bach festival (Riga), Brugge festival (Belgium), Antonio il verso (Palermo), Nothern lights (Norway), Matera festival and others. Boris Begelman has recordings on Russian TV, radio of The Netherlands, radio Vatican, Sky...

 He records CDs and plays concerts as a member of different ensembles and orchestras, such as «Il complesso barocco» (Italy), Accademia dei Balloro' (Italy),  Academia Montis Regalis (Italy), «Pratum Integrum» (Russia) and many others.

He played solo with orchestras with such conductors as Giovanni Antonini, Enrico Onofri and others.

He won a scholarship and was chosen to be a concertmaster of  Youth Orchestra Academia Montis Regalis for 2009.
