Dear colleagues,

with the recent publication of Aristotelica 7 and 8, a coherent line of
research on Aristotle and his afterlife continues to take shape. These
volumes reflect an ongoing scholarly engagement with the transmission,
interpretation, and transformation of Aristotelian philosophy from Late
Antiquity onwards.

Within this framework, the Calls section of the Aristotelica website
presents the current call for the panel:

Aristotle among the Neoplatonists
ISNS Conference Panel (4th edition)
Vercelli – Leuven, 2026

Building on previous editions, the argumentaire places increasing emphasis
on the reception of Aristotle’s works as a canonical framework—especially
in logic, physics, and metaphysics—and on their integration into Platonic
teaching and exegetical practices, giving rise to those new philosophical
traditions which were later identified as Neoplatonism.

The panel welcomes contributions on different aspects of the reception of
Aristotle among the Neoplatonists, including exegesis, translations,
textual transmission, and polemical engagements.

Abstracts may be short or developed. Please address them to to
aristo...@cnr.it.

Particular attention will be given to papers grounded in textual
analysis and manuscript traditions.

Accepted abstracts will be discussed at a preliminary hybrid conference in
Vercelli (26 May 2026) and subsequently at the 23rd World ISNS Conference
in Leuven (3–7 June 2026). Selected papers may later be considered for
publication in Aristotelica, an open-access, peer-reviewed journal hosted
by the CNR–ILIESI.

Full details and submission guidelines are available on the journal website
under Calls.

With kind regards,

Aristotelica
