Postdoctoral Researcher Position (f/m/d)
at the Department of Philosophy, University of Cologne
Affiliated to the Chair for Epistemology, Philosophy of Science and Logic (Professor Thomas Grundmann) a 12-months postdoc position is offered (fixed term: April 1, 2022 – March 31, 2023).
YOUR TASKS
Teaching load of 2 courses á 2 academic hours/week/term in the disciplines of epistemology, philosophy of science or logic
Gaining further academic qualifications (publishing papers, chapters)
Joint research projects with the Chair
Organizational assistance of the Chair
Preparation of and application for one’s own third-party funded project in epistemology (further funding of one’s own position) in collaboration with the Chair is desirable
YOUR PROFILE
The applicant has a Ph.D. in philosophy. AOS: contemporary epistemology.
ABD (“all but dissertation”) candidates will be considered
Knowledge of the German language is helpful but nor required
It is not necessary to have the citizenship of an EU member state

The position is available from April 1, 2022 on a full-time basis. It ends on 31.03.2023. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is based on renumeration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector. The net salary depends on age, tax level (family situation), and years of experience. The minimum annual net salary is 25.629 Euros.
