Position 1: Professor (Political Philosophy) at the University of Milan

Università degli Studi di Milano – Department of Philosophy

Deadline: 29 July 2024 at noon

The Department of Philosophy is seeking candidates for a new position in
Political Philosophy. The position is tenured at Full Professor level.

AOS: Political Philosophy

Gross starting salary: about 76.000 euro per year (incoming workers from
foreign countries are entitled to significant tax exemptions for five
years).

Approximate starting date: January 2025

The University of Milan is a major teaching and research institution
located in one of Europe’s thriving cities. The Department of Philosophy
has been identified twice as a centre of excellence by the Italian
government, and awarded with special funding from 2017 until 2027. It
hosts more than seventy researchers working in every major area of
philosophy, as well as neighbour disciplines in the social sciences and

Candidates must either have an Italian ‘habilitation’ at Professor
level, or an equivalent tenured position in a foreign university.
Fluency in Italian language is not required at the time of appointment.

Professor level.

foreign countries are entitled to significant tax exemptions for five
years).

Approximate starting date: January 2025
