Call for Applications
The Department of Philosophy at Tel Aviv University is seeking excellent candidates for a two-year post-doctoral fellowship starting on (or around) 1 October, 2026. Suitable candidates will have specialization in areas related to agency, broadly construed. Relevant AOS’s include, but are not limited to: Philosophy of Action; Philosophy of Mind; Moral Psychology; Philosophy of Cognitive Science; Value Theory and Normativity.

Excellent candidates are encouraged to apply even if their work is only indirectly relevant to this project.
The post carries a yearly stipend in the range of at least 79,080 New Israeli Shekels (for local scholars)–118,620 New Israeli Shekels (for overseas scholars) per annum (approx. $24,500–$37,000). In addition, travel funds will be made available to the post-holder to attend conferences etc.
Applications should include a brief research proposal (no more than two pages), CV, list of publications, two letters of recommendation (sent directly to the Department), and a sample of written work (chapter from doctoral dissertation or recent publication).
