Submission Language(s)
Please note that the first edition of the Handbook will be in German. For this reason, preference will be given to contributors who intend to write in German; however, we will also accept contributions in Italian and English. If necessary, we will provide proofreading or translation services by native German speakers. Further information about translation and proofreading services, as well as detailed guidelines, will be provided after notification of acceptance.
Submission Guidelines
● Entries should not exceed 18.500 characters (including spaces), which corresponds to approximately five pages in the handbook.
● The bibliography is not included in the character count and should include 10 to 15 titles.
● Each entry should provide a comprehensive overview of the topic, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
Timeline
● July 1, 2025 – Manifestation of Interest Due
● August 1, 2025 – Notification of Preliminary Acceptance
● March 1, 2026 – Completed Entries Due
● July 1, 2026 – Editorial Reviews Completed
● August 1, 2026 – Authors’ Revisions Due
● Fall/Winter 2026 – Final Submission by Editors
● Summer/Fall 2027 – Expected Publication

If interested, please submit your expression of interest at italianphe...@gmail.com no later than July 1, 2025. The submission must include:
● your CV
● a cover letter, including, as a list in the order,
○ (1) affiliation,
○ (2) a brief description of your research interests,
○ (3) the entry or entries to which you would like to contribute, and
○ (4) the language in which you intend to write (in case you are willing to write the contribution not in your mother tongue, language proficiencies should be mentioned in the CV).
