[PHILOS-L] Call for 2025 Mercier prize

We are glad to announce the call for application for the Prix Mercier 2025, a prize of € 2,500 to be awarded annually by the Institut supérieur de philosophie (ISP) of UCLouvain and the Hoger Instituut Voor Wijsbegeerte (HIW) of KU Leuven.
The prize honors a monograh (published or not) of exceptional merit on metaphysics, first philosophy or ontology in their relevance to the contemporary world. Works whose focus is primarily historical are not considered.
Awards are open to students, researchers and professors without consideration of language or nationality, except to the permanent members of the ISP and the HIW.
Works in the process of admission or published in the collections of the ISP or the HIW, whoever the author, are not eligible.
Submissions (including two hard copies of the work to be considered) should be sent to the President of the Institut supérieur de philosophie (Collège Mercier, place du Cardinal Mercier 14, bte L3.06.01, 1348 Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium)). A digital copy of the work, as well as a curriculum vitae of the author, have to be sent to the presid...@uclouvain.be. Hard copies won’t be sent back.
The deadline for submission is February 15th, 2025
