Early Bird rate available until 15 May 2025.   About The Joint Session is a three-day conference in philosophy that is held annually during the summer by the Aristotelian Society and the Mind Association. It has taken place at nearly every major university across the United Kingdom and in Ireland. Since 1910, the Joint Session has grown to become the largest gathering of philosophers in the country, attracting prestigious UK and international speakers working in a broad range of philosophical areas. Inaugurated by the incoming President of the Mind Association, the Joint Session includes symposia, open and postgraduate sessions, and a range of satellite conferences. The 99th Joint Session of the Aristotelian Society and the Mind Association will be held at The University of Glasgow from 11 - 13 July 2025 This year’s local organiser is Professor Adam Carter (adam....@glasgow.ac.uk). Anna Alexandrova (Cambridge) and Kareem Khalifa  (UCLA) II. Nicknames Elizabeth Camp (Rutgers) and Eliot Michaelson (KCL)/Ethan Nowak (Stanford) III. Intentionality in Medieval Philosophy Therese Cory (Notre Dame) and Hamid Taieb (Humboldt University Berlin) IV. Love: Learning from Husserl and Beauvoir Sara Heinämaa (Helsinki) and Kate Kirkpatrick  (Oxford) V. Information and Questioning Christopher Kelp (Glasgow)/Mona Simion (Glasgow) and Anne Meylan (Zurich) VI. National Humiliation Raamy Majeed (Manchester) and Maeve McKeown (Groningen) Plus:  Open Sessions, SWIP Sessions, and Postgraduate Sessions   Student Subsidies Ten Joint Session subsidies are available to student and unwaged members of either the Aristotelian Society (categories 3-5 only) or the Mind Association. The subsidy will cover 75% of the following: (a) early-bird unwaged registration fee; (b) meal costs; and (c) the cost of standard accommodation for no more than three nights. The remaining costs are paid for by the applicant.  The deadline for applications is 10th May Please apply via this form.
