We’re looking for a PhD researcher interested in the intersection of research integrity, philosophy of science, and organizational ethics.

The goal of the FWO-funded project is to problematise the trend of research integrity towards a corporate-style compliance. We want to understand whether this trend makes sense — to what extent can we regulate science as we do corporations? We also want to reflect about whether this is a *good* development for science.

The PhD would be expected to conduct some empirical work, and also carry out a conceptual/normative reflection. The PhD will collaborate with a postdoc, as well as with an interdisciplinary supervisory team consisting of Kris Dierickx (applied ethics, research integrity), Luc Van Liedekerke (business ethics), and Hugh Desmond (philosophy of science, research integrity).

Important: within the general scope of this project, the PhD will have quite some freedom to develop their own interests.

If interested, submit CV and cover letter here: https://www.kuleuven.be/personeel/jobsite/jobs/60678563?lang=en

Deadline: July 31
