Description
The Yale University Department of History intends to appoint a tenure-track assistant professor in the History of Technology to begin on July 1, 2025. Applicants may work in any geography and time period and will be affiliated with the Program in the History
of Science and Medicine. Applicants should have strong potential for excellence and achievement in scholarship and in undergraduate and graduate teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to teach an undergraduate lecture course plus undergraduate
and graduate seminars in their area of specialty and in broader areas meeting the needs of the Program and the Department.
Qualifications
We welcome applications from historians who already hold teaching positions, as well as recent PhDs and those who expect their PhD or equivalent degree by the time of appointment.
