The Department of Philosophy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem invites applications for a one-year post-doctoral fellowship, with the possibility of renewal, starting on (or around) 1 October, 2026. Suitable candidates will have a specialization in one or more of the following areas: moral psychology, philosophy of mind, value theory and normativity.
The post is associated with, and made available through, Israel Science Foundation Research Grant no. 3136/24 (“The Normativity of Emotions”; Principal Investigators: Oded Na’aman, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Eli Pitcovski, Tel-Hai University). The post carries a yearly stipend of 120,000 New Israeli Shekels (approx. $40,000) per annum. In addition, travel funds will be made available to the post-holder to attend conferences etc.
Applications should include a brief research proposal (no more than two pages), a CV, a list of publications, the names and contact details of three referees (whom we may contact for letters of recommendation later in the process), and a sample of written work (a chapter from the doctoral dissertation or a recent publication).
