[PHILOS-L] [JOB] AI Ethics Postdoc for 2 years in Paris

CEA is hiring a postdoctoral researcher in applied AI ethics for up to 24 months. You will be based in Paris and work with Dr. Alexei Grinbaum.

 

Your role will be to develop and deliver trainings for AI researchers and ethics evaluators on an operational level. These trainings will be based on the AI ethics guidelines created in the European Commission Horizon project AIOLIA. The guidelines address 10 practical use cases and are based on the EU AI Act, the HLEG ALTAI checklist, and results of other projects (e.g. iRECS). Examples of the use cases include generative AI systems as individual and family-level virtual assistants, medical doctors using AI tools in diagnostics and treatment, or security professionals using AI tools to detect hate speech.

 

You will join a dynamic and international team of researchers and get first-hand experience in ethics evaluation of research projects.

 

Requirements:

PhD and a track record of research publications in AI ethics or relevant areas. Teaching experience is an asset. Previous work with computer scientists and engineers will be appreciated. Fluent oral and written English is mandatory. French is not mandatory.

 

Details:

The position is expected to be filled between October 2025 and January 2026.

Duration 18-24 months (further prolongation is possible).
