Dear all,

The Philosophy Department at Trinity College Dublin hopes to support applicants for the Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme. Further information is available here: https://research.ie/funding/goipd/?f=postdoctoral

Applications are due to the IRC 12 October 2023 (4pm Irish time).

There is an online info session this Monday, September 18 hosted by Trinity. Please contact Adina Preda, Pre...@tcd.ie if you’re interested in attending.

Prospective applicants should begin by contacting a potential mentor with their CV and a research proposal and do so as early as possible—certainly by 5 October. It is essential to secure support from a potential mentor before submitting an application.

Supervision is available with the following supervisors, in the following areas:

Farbod Akhlaghi: Moral Philosophy, Metaphysics, History of Moral Philosophy and Metaphysics, Philosophy of Culture

Lilian Alweiss: Modern European Philosophy

John Divers: Metaphysics, History of Analytic Philosophy, Philosophy of Science

Alison Fernandes: Metaphysics, Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Physics

James Levine: History of Analytic Philosophy, Philosophy of Language

Paul O’Grady: Philosophy of Religion, Epistemology, History of Philosophy (Medieval and Analytic)

Adina Preda: Political Philosophy, Moral Philosophy

Vasilis Politis: Ancient Philosophy

Further details on the research interests of potential supervisors can be found at:

https://www.tcd.ie/Philosophy/about/people/

Best wishes,

Adina
