Duties include research and publication, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and normal departmental duties. The teaching load is up to 2/2. All teaching is in the spring and fall semester, and the university has programs to aid travel to universities abroad in the summer months. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and the compensation includes a full benefits package, including healthcare and accommodation (or a rental contribution).

The Department of Philosophy (https://cssh.ku.edu.tr/en/education/philosophy/about/) is a young and expanding department, founded in 2008. We began our MA program in 2019 and expect to launch a Ph.D. program in the near future. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to these programs and to the development of the department. The Department of Philosophy is committed to both academic excellence and diversity in the faculty and student body.

graduates, potential for outstanding research), have the
ability to teach
metaphysics up to an advanced undergraduate level, and hold
a relevant PhD by
the time of employment.
