Dear all,

The deadline for Cybioses, our summer session, is this friday: the 8th of May. Please send us an abstract.

The theme of our summer session is: "Create, Critique, Collaborate: Technology and Democracy". It will be in Saulkrasti, Latvia, from 24-31 July 2026.

We seek to combine art, technology and critique, and are open to anyone who identifies with either one of those terms. There are typically presentations, performances, and experimental contributions. Please see our page for the long abstract and detailed information: https://www.nsuweb.org/circle-2-cybioses-art-critique-technology/

Good to know is that the NSU summer session is a little different from other conferences.

The NSU is over 75 years old. Its motto is “defending academic freedom since 1950. This is reflected in many ways.

- we vote on everything that effects the organization.

- we meet somewhere else each year (we move across the nordic-baltic region).

- there are many different seminars (http://www.nsuweb.org/) simultaneously.

- accommodation is within the complex where the event takes place.

- children are participants. There is a dedicated children circle.

And much more.

Send an email to "eric....@nsuweb.org". Feel free to contact any us if you are wondering how you would fit in, or if you have other questions.

Eric Deibel,

(PhD, researcher Radboud University Nijmegen, Donders Centre for Cognition).

Also, on behalf of the other coordinators:

Georgios Diapoulis, senior Lecturer in Interaction Design, Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Gothenburg / Chalmers University of Technology. &

Talya Deibel, Assistant professor at Maastricht University, specialization health law and ethics.
