The “Virtues and Vices of Spiritual Yearning” project invites letters of intent for eight two-year sub-grants on the project theme: four primarily theory-focused projects (up to $100,000 USD each) and four projects with a significant empirical/psychological component (up to $250,000 USD each). Letters of intent (1,000–1,500 words) are due February 1, 2026; full proposals (by invitation only) are due July 1, 2026. Funded projects will run from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2028.



Projects may be based in philosophy, religious studies, psychology, or related disciplines, and we especially welcome interdisciplinary and cross-cultural work. The official RFP is available here:
