Is there any way to access the web interface for it without a iphone,
like what if i use safari on my linux or windows pc and install the
opensource webkit thing found at webkit.org? im just looking for a
more convenient way to use my spykee when im away, im mainly a linux
guy so this would help if i did not have to switch to windows all the
time when i want to use it.

That's a good excuse for a standard-browser version of the remote
control interface.

As noted in the other post on the topic, webkit might work, int he way
you describe. You might need to set the user-agent string until we
modify the site to recognize that case.

Are you interested in working on the standard-browser interface?

I can code in PHP and delphi and I am starting to code for the
blackberry. I would be interested in helping to create a browser
version in PHP of your portal that access's the lan program. Then
later a version for the blackberry. Let me know if you are looking for
someone :)

Hi Matthew,

Cool. The web UI is AJAX/Javascript based, so really in this case, it
is really a matter of straight HTML and Javascript that uses the
existing AJAX services. The trickiest part is pulling out the webkit
specific parts that are there and still making a decent interface for
non-webkit browsers that looks decent and works well. If you're good
at laying out the DHTML for such things, that would be terrific.

Best,

David
