Key Role
A seasoned strategy consultant to work on client projects in multiple private-sector markets within the IT Security Strategy domain. Lead project work streams, synthesize and analyze complex data, and work with consulting staff to develop high-quality interim and final deliverables in a fast paced environment. Coordinates with senior leaders to develop new business opportunities and author technical approach in proposal. Coaches and mentors consulting staff on functional skill sets, client relationship management, and delivery of high-quality products for client consumption.
Basic Qualifications:
· Experience as strategy consultant with over 4+ years of leading project delivery teams with private sector clients in a fast paced environment with travel requirements
· Experience with IT Security Strategy and understanding of security principles, approaches, and technologies (Deep knowledge in at least 4 to 5 of the following: Application Security, Infrastructure/Security Architecture, Mobile Security, Identity & Access Management, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Business Continuity Management, Information Protection, Physical Security, Personnel Security, Awareness & Training, Performance Management, Security Monitoring – Experience as CISO preferred)
· Familiarity with one or more functional disciplines: strategy, organizational and governance design, high-level technical architecture design, change management, and policy development
· Experience across multiple market verticals, including but not limited to: financial services, healthcare, energy, consumer products, high-technology, and pharmaceuticals
· Ability to apply strategy skills and toolkits to frame client issues, utilize critical thinking skills to analyze client problems and propose sound and defensible solutions, and craft a pragmatic implementation plan
· Ability to quickly ascertain existing methodologies and intellectual capital to customize for client situation, develop approach to drive work efforts, and frame potential deliverables
· Ability to work with senior leaders to foster positive client relationships, identify new business opportunities with existing clients, and develop new intellectual capital
· Supports the RFP/Whitepaper process and is a lead contributor to technical approach for a successful submission of a high-quality proposal to potential client
· Coaches and mentors junior staff on functional skills, consulting tradecraft, and client relationship management
· MBA in Strategy, Finance, Information Systems, General Management program from a Top 25 school (Top 10 school preferred)
· Former experience with the strategy consulting firms (Top 4 McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Booz preferred)
· BA or BS degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or other technical degree preferred)
Additional Qualifications
· Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment with a willingness to travel 25-50% of time
· Ability to synthesize and analyze multiple views and data sets and strong client facilitation skill sets
· Possession of client-ready oral and written communications skill sets
· Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
