Special Mother's Day celebrations tomorrow at Matru Mandir

Dear Moms,
Yesterday was Mother’s Day. Mother has a very special place in child’s life. I still remember when I was a child we used to celebrate the “Matru Din” in our school. Our School Principal Mr. Dada Rege used to give us a very inspiring talk on importance of Mother. Dada used to make the talk so emotional and dramatic; he even used to fall flat on the floor doing Sashtanga Namaskar (whole body prostration) to mother at the end of his talk. The impact of his talk was so strong that I used to walk home with tears in my eyes and heart full of gratitude for my mother and do Namaskar to my motherJ.
All these years his words remained with me. And today after being a mom and now a grand mom of your babies, I feel all the more indebted to Dada. Through all the drama and inspiration he made me understand who the mother is and what is her role in my life.
Each one of us is the way we are because our mothers have played their role right. She has also given us the a role model so that when it came to playing a mother ourselves, all we needed is copy her.
So on this great occasion of Mother’s Day let us offer our sincere gratitude to all mothers of the world. Let us also offer our thanks to our babies because without them we could never have seen the mothers in usJ
Tomorrow (Tuesday – May 10th) we are celebrating Mother’s Day with 2 special programs –
1. Sitar for kids - We have invited Shri. Vidur Mahajan, the wonderful Sitar player from India along with Shri. Hemant Ekbote in our Matru mandir. Vidurkaka and Hemantkaka are going to play music for our kids.
So please bring your babies at 11-15 sharp at Matru Mandir to enjoy this special program
2. Positive Parenting - Tomorrow evening we have Mrs. Jaya Row – the well known Vedanta scholar – giving a talk on “Positive Parenting”. Jayaji is an amazing speaker and she will be able to give us some very wise inputs on becoming better parents.
The program will start at 6-30 and will be followed by dinner at 8.
Please join us along with your babies (we have made special arrangements for taking care of children) and grandparents.
You can RSVP by evening so we can plan for the food.
