I downloaded both the 0.5.0b1 and the 0.4.3 and neither seem to work.
The MacUpdate site claims that 0.4.3 is stable on OS X 10.5 I am
running 10.5.8 (Intel) but when I open the zipped files I get an app
icon covered with a circle/slash indicating an incompatible version.
Is there a work-around? What OS is iSoul being developed for? ssX
works on my computer, but I really want to seek an alternative, as
it's quite clunky. Preferably one which is still being developed. I
tried SoulseekQT, but it crashes when I enter a search query, and
SolarSeek I abandoned long ago.

Hello I still have an old version of iSoul (0.4.3 something) which still works on my PowerPC G5 running Leopard 10.5. I would love to see iSoul built as a universal app supporting 10.5 still, but recent versions (now in GitHub) have broken this. If it worked previously I see no reason it still couldn't be built for 10.5 universal. I may try building the sources on my G5 soon will report any success or failures. As for the previous version which works, if you want I could zip it and put up a link for you to download. Cheers!

I can confirm that the 0.5.0 version runs only on OSX 10.6+, btw the previous build should work on an intel mac with 10.5.8 as D. Starr suggested.
Curtis, could you please report here the error messages that the Console (Application>Utility>Console) logs when you try to start BOTH applications?
