It seems like people are still downloading the 0.4.3 version of iSoul and pretty much ignoring the 0.5.0.b1 this is a bit strange to me : D Maybe we shall promote it a little more

I can remove the old download if you want, to force them to use it.

This is the "most cruel" way, I guess we shall find another one and just in the end use it if all the other means have failed. Plus, it is interesting to try to understand why they are doing so, I suppose that the old link has been shared somewhere over the internet, and people do not get to our direct download page on github

It's probably because 0.5 has the 'beta' moniker on it, whereas 0.4.3 does not. Also, the macupdate page points to 0.4.3.

I do not remember to have it linked to macupdate, did you do that David? Shall we link the beta? We are entering a vicious circle, to test the new fixes we need more users, etc : D

Uhm, it is your macupdate page right? It says arranger as the dev. So you should be able to change it. (and no, I never changed anything).

I've never had a macupdate page *__*

So, wait, this isn't yours? http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/33320/isoul
Then you might want to claim it, as you're the dev :-D

Btw, when you claim it, change the description so it says 10.6 or later.

I will investigate on it later, thanks for pointing it out, I've never had a page on macupdate, I swear : D, It seems interconnect posted a lot on that page

It seems, everyone logged in can change the info on the software

That's... quite counterproductive. Is there no way to create a 'company' account or something where only that account can change software info?

In my opinion version numbers with 'beta' or b, etc seem unstable to
the user and personally I wouldn't download it either.

I suggest you keep the unstable versions in source control and only
release stable versions with numerical, incremental version numbers on
MacUpdate.

The problem is our software is always a 'beta' tested only by ourselves (we have so few users helping us). We did not update the page on Macupdate either, it was a user called interconnect who 'gained initiative' : D
