How Can We Fight Rape?

“One out of every six American women has been the victim of an attempted or
completed rape in her lifetime,” according to studies conducted by the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network. And it is too often that we hear from our politicians, judicial system, and the media lessons on how women can prevent rape. The time is long overdue to shift this conversation from what women can do to prevent rape to the beginning of telling men not to rape, and to ending the disgusting blaming and shaming of rape victims everywhere. Join the Philadelphia branch of the International Socialist Organization in discussing rape culture in the United States — and more importantly, how and why we should join the fight-back.
