In the wake of the Zimmerman verdict, we as a community have expressed outrage as exhibited in the nationwide protests. But where do we go from here especially that we have been here before?

Join the Africana Studies program for a candid panel discussion on race, (in)justice, and activism. This event will include:

Dr. Monteiro (Distinguished Lecturer, Associate Director of the Institute for the Study of Race and Social Thought - Temple University)

Dr. Donald Tibbs (Associate Professor of Law, Author of ‘From Black Power to Prison Power: The Making of Jones v. North Carolina Prisoners' Labor Union’, and “The Jena Six and Black Punishment: Law and Raw Life in the Domain of Non-Existence,”)

Shesheena Bray (Counselor - Upward Bound Program – University of Pennsylvania, Activist – Sankofa Community Empowerment, Organizer - Askia Coalition Against Police Brutality)

Gabriel Bryant (Activist - Sankofa Community Empowerment, Director - Young Men's Initiative - Philadelphia Futures, Organizer - Askia Coalition Against Police Brutality, Radio Host- G-Town Radio).
