Hi,
What is the minimum number of total subtomograms that should be used during the training? Is this independent/dependent of the total number of tomograms?

Instructions are:  "Usually total 300 subtomograms are sufficient for IsoNet refine." Is this total of all tomograms? Thanks.

Best wishes,
Reza

Hi Reza,

This is the total of all tomograms. I guess more than 100 subtomos in total might be the minimum for training. For simulated data, I tried 20 apoferritin simulated subtomograms and the results are already good enough.
