How to decide g1 and g2 value?

Hi colleagues,

I have been learning IM model for a few days, but I still feel difficult to understand g1 and g2 value.

Can anyone tell me how to decide that values?

Hi Li - the simple answer is: trial and error. The examples in the manual are a good starting point, but I've found that particularly for microsatellites it involves trying out about 20-30 different combinations to find something that works.
