Por qué es importante?  Porque ISOC (a cuya fundación asistí con Vint Cerf en 1992 en San Francisco) luchar por defender los intereses del usuario de Internet ... y Panamá es casi el único país de Latinoamérica que no tiene un Chapter -.. donde participe Gobierno, Academia y Empresa Privada ... hay tanto interés pero se necesita gente con bríos, cree CV e impulse para el beneficio de todos ...

Me pregunto, si ante la falta de interés de la parte gubernamental (he dialogado con tanta gente) ... CIDETYS podría crear un Task Force para que finalmente Panamá tenga un Panama ISOC Chapter ... ya hay gente interesada pero no hay liderazgo (yo no puedo aunque desee) ...  y creo que hay gente valios en UTP y FISC u otras áreas fuera de UTP (CAPATEC, AIG, SENCAYT, ISPs, Empresas de Hosting y demás) que realmente deberían ponerle ateción pues ISOC lucha por la calidad del servicio y proveer accesibilidad a los usuarios de Internet (como oponerse a la Ley SOPA y tener libertad para escoger) ...

Cómo se podría hacer para que CIDETYS liderice esto?  Son 25 personas registras en ISOC por Panama que se necesitan para hacer el Capítulo y hay un grupo LinkedIn ... pero no veo que se mueva (si yo pudiera lo guiara, pero debo ser honesto a mi mismo ... ahora no puedo, pero sigo viendo su real necesidad tanta como un Flossparking, un FLISOL, y demás).
