A brief report:
Currently there are 30 members in the chapter. These can be seen on
the mailing list.
We now need to meet (as already agreed) and I suggest the following
agenda(and we are required to add/comment on the list below):
1. Review the set of by-laws that we had earlier on formulated amend
them if necessary and adopt them.
These can be seen at
http://isocmalawi.no-ip.org/isocmalawi/bylaws.pdf
2. Elect a few officers responsible for the coordination of the
chapter activities.
3. Register the Chapter with the registrar generals office.
3. Establish a work plan on the coming chapter's activities. We need
to have a clear set of goals.
4. AOB
As you might have already been made aware that this it is still an
initial stage and will officially be launched after the registration
at the registrar generals office has been done.
As part of the initial preparations we created the following
communication tools:
1. Google group which is also a mailing
list(
isocm...@googlegroups.com).
2. A simple website which will provide information on the chapter. It
can be accessed through
http://isocmalawi.no-ip.org. (There is NO WWW)
We would like to also create an online meeting tool which will enable
members to meet online and make decisions even when geographically
dispersed.
If there is anyone with such kind of expertise please volunteer to
help.
There is some information which has been mounted on the website which
you may need to see and contribute to it. We may need more information
for the website so feel free to contribute.
Regards,
Blessings.
