Hi Qianpian,
It looks like there is a difference between cgalsurf and cgalemesh (vol2mesh) according to the generation of the faces.
I want to create a membrane in abaqus which covers my model created by iso2mesh. Therefore I use the faces. If I use the option cgalmesh, an error is returned: Surface skin_surface has facets that are not oriented properly with respect to each other.
Abaqus defines the orientation according to the numeration of the nodes in faces, if i got it right.
If i use cgalsurf, this error doesn't appear.
Is there a possibility to redefine the orientation of the faces? Do you know whether there are differences in the generation of the faces?
In general I would prefer cgalmesh for meshing.
Thanks in advance.
Martin

Hi,
sorry for the late answer. I have to admit that I haven't tried your solution, the matter has resolved itself. Because nodes of faces and elements are the same, I don't have to tie membrane and solid elements in Abaqus together. And so i don't need the orientation (I hope so...).
But thank you! Perhaps I will have similar problems again :-)
