...As we recognize the collaborative and courageous efforts of the Marcellus Shale Protest Group at this years Thomas Merton Center (TMC) New Persons Awards.
The TMC Awards Reception is scheduled for April 26, Tuesday evening, beginning at 7:00 PM at East Liberty Presbyterian Church. The event features short speeches by Marcellus Protest Group representatives, light snacks, refreshments, and activist display tables focusing on the work of local peace and environmental justice organizations.
This year's Award Winners are members of the Marcellus Shale Protest Group, an alliance composed of western PA groups & individuals who have joined together to build a broad movement to stop the destruction of our environment and our communities.
