Good Monday morning!

This is just a quick email to let you know about a few things.

First, tomorrow's ISO meeting will be taking place at 7:30 p.m. in the lower level of the William Pitt Union Building instead of in Dining Room A where it's usually held.  We should be sitting in a large group, so you can't miss us.

Secondly, we're hosting a comprehensive "day school" event on Saturday October 23rd at the Frick Fine Arts Building, which is just south of Schenley Plaza and the Carnegie Library.  It's called "Socialism In Our Time," and it'll run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.--a long day for sure, but a great one!  As guest speakers, we'll have in our midst Ashley Smith and Sherry Wolf.  Ashley is an activist and organizer and sits on the editorial board of the ISR magazine; his talk will be on "The Revolutionary Ideas of Karl Marx."  Sherry is an activist and author of "Sexuality and Socialism," and her talk will be on "Overcoming Divisions in the Working Class."  Paul LeBlanc, author and Pittsburgh ISO member, will speak on "Marxist Perspectives on Revolutionary Organization."  We'll be sending out more detailed information as it becomes settled, but keep this date open on your calendars!

Here's a link to the event we created on Facebook, where you can read more about it:

And lastly, be sure to follow our revamped blog and our Facebook page.  If you can't make it out to our meetings, you can find out what we're up to on our calendar, engage in discussions, and share links and photos with us.
