I'm happy to announce we will be holding Meaning of Marxism study groups, a series of 4 (there will be a final session for wrap up and unanswered questions.  We will be in touch about the date and time).

Wednesdays, 7pm (to about 7:45), at the William Pitt Union Dining Room A on Floor 1 on:

July 27 - Introduction, Chapters 1, 2, 3 & 4 (7-68)

August 3 - Chapters 5 & 6 (69-112)

August 10 - Chapters 7, 8 & 9 (113-159)

August 17 - Chapters 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 & Conclusion (160-221)

Attached are study questions, but please do jot down your own questions, disagreements, etc, to share.

In solidarity,
Courtney

The newly created city branch (this will be held by the Pitt branch) will also holding such a series during the first half of their meetings.

This summer, the Pittsburgh ISO will hold four 45-minute classes on Paul D'Amato's outstanding and clearly written study The Meaning of Marxism.

It is our belief that Marxism (the body of theory and the method of analysis named after Karl Marx, and enriched by many of his co-thinkers) remains incredibly useful for those who would like to understand the world and also want to help change it for the better.

Attached is a study guide for those four classes, beginning August 15 and concluding on September 5, from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. (Location to be announced shortly -- but if interested please let me know right away.)  Books are available for $14.

Comradely,
Paul Le Blanc
