Construction Update

We're counting down the weeks!

Suddenly it's Spring on Campus. Giant palm trees now grace the entry to the Goldman Sports and Wellness Complex. Other trees drop daily from the skies or-- more accurately -- from the giant construction crane (like a stork delivering babies)! Our urban forest is growing and greening along the campus paths, building entries and courtyards. This summer, the OFJCC staff will move into our new quarters as we gear up for opening in September. We're cleaning out our files and cabinets getting ready for the moving vans...and we can't wait!

Our Charter Members can't wait for opening either! They've been signing up by the hundreds to take advantage of the Charter Membership offers for those who join before we open. Why wait till September when you can register at the lowest rates ever and you won't have to pay again till October! So, beat the hordes who'll flock to our gorgeous new Taube Koret Campus when we open our doors in September. Show your support and save your wallet by signing up for OFJCC membership today!

Community Notes - In need of housing for Israeli counselors

The OFJCC is very fortunate every summer to hire Israeli counselors at J-Camp, our school age summer camp. This summer we will have two female Israeli counselors, or Shlichot coming for 10 weeks and enhancing our camp with Israeli culture- music, food, dance and more. Rather than living on their own, a big part of their American experience is living with families and being integrated into their lives.

We are still looking for families to host the Shlichot this summer. It is both fun and beneficial for both the Israelis and the Americans and we highly recommend doing it if you have extra space in your house. They can stay individually in homes or together if you have room for both of them. Ideally, they will stay in no more than 3 houses for the summer so we are asking for 2 - 4 week commitments. The dates they will be here are June 12 - August 22.
