Meet our Contestants

Saturday, March 12 at 7:00PM

Ori Brutman,13: "My hobbies are singing, writing songs, playing the piano and sax, spending time with friends, attending the Israeli scouts and most of all, playing basketball.I feel especially connected to jazz and rap music, and I like to listen to Adele and Bruno Mars and to Israeli music."

Raz Ben Haim, 12: "I started singing even before talking. I love drawing and playing my guitar. People say that music, food and smells always remind them of home; I guess this is why I love Israeli music so much. I also love country music, pop and rock."

Ronni Kurzion, 16: "My hobbies are marching band (conductor), orchestra (viola), choir and tutoring computer science. I'm inspired by the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, The High Kings, Barbara Streisand, BYU Vocal Point, Mirusia Louwerse and Rajaton."

Rotem Machlev, 16: "My hobbies are singing and counseling in the Israeli scouts, 'tzofim.' I'm inspired by many kinds of music, but what really inspires me  is the lyrics of the song rather than the kind of music or the language."

Sam Joffe, 15: “I've always had a passion for music and singing, from classical choral music to Broadway hits to pop songs on the radio, and even listening to some Israeli tunes. When not singing along with the radio, you can find me playing piano, trumpet, or reading a good book.”

Talia Joffe, 13, lives in Mountain View and is an 8th grader at Egan Junior High: “Aside from singing, I enjoy playing guitar and drums, and also love acting and reading a good book. I like to listen to pop music”.

Yarin Nevel Hagay, 14 years old: "I am  a passionate feminist and Zionist who loves debating matters. I like sports as part of my everyday life, especially long-distance running (half marathons) and sprints (100 meters).I Love music and have playing the drum set since I was 8 years old. For inspiration, I  listen to everything from classics to modern: Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole to the Beatles, Queen, Nirvana and Arctic Monkeys, Beyonce, Idan Raichel and Ninet, but my absolute favorite is the amazing Amy Winehouse.”
