Shalom Friends,

You are warmly invited to a real-time Zoom meeting broadcast directly from Kibbutz Nir Oz on

Wednesday,  December 3rd, 8:30 PM PST, to review the new Garin housing restoration project with:

  • The young ‘Garin’ (Gar-in גַרְעִין seed) who will become the future generation of Nir Oz
  • Hagai Myork, Project Manager of the new Garin housing restoration project
  • Eyal Ben-David, our donors’ “inspector on the ground” for this round of donations

Project Overview:

Kibbutz Nir Oz restoration project is a comprehensive effort to rebuild homes and community infrastructure for families affected by the events of October 7th. The project for building the new Garin homes focuses on creating safe and welcoming residences for fifty young families who will join the kibbutz and become the next generation of Kibbutz Nir Oz.

How You Can Help:

With most of the construction and restoration work nearly complete ($2.4 million previously raised ), the project requires an additional $200,000 to complete the restoration by the end of 2025.

We are hopeful and confident that with your donation - any amount is warmly appreciated - the new Garin families will be able to move into their restored homes sooner rather than later and become a meaningful part of rebuilding the vibrant kibbutz community.

Donations are made to a 501(c)(3) organization through P.E.F. Israel Endowment Funds, Inc.

Detailed donation instructions are attached in the PDF file.

A member of our Silicon Valley team will contact you in the coming days to discuss further details and address any questions you may have.

A Bit of History:

In May 2025, Yael and I spent four weeks volunteering at Kibbutz Nirim in Otef Aza (Gaza border zone, 1 mile from the border), helping restore homes for returning members. We instantly felt a connection to the place and its people, who experienced the horrific events of October 7th. Before leaving, we offered our help for future projects.

On November 3rd, the incredible Eyal Ben-David reached out, asking us to help raise the remaining funds needed to complete the housing project for fifty young families. These young families will replace Kibbutz Nir Oz families who, due to the October 7th trauma, decided not to return.

Thank you for your support and for being part of this important effort.

Sincerely,

Your Silicon Valley Team

Avi & Yael Urban (650-305-1111)

Eshel Haritan (408-242-2500)

Offir Gutelzon (415-990-2855)
