Good morning all,

I wanted to share a quick story. Punch line: it’s helpful to include a spouse or other support person when reviewing NFB progress.

I have a client who has been doing home training for about 2 months, and he reported minimal changes. I suggested that we include his spouse in the session since sometimes we humans aren’t aware of the incremental change that takes place during training. He agreed, and she was shocked that he said there was nothing different. She recounted several stories of him being more empathic towards her, patient, and overall happy in his life.

This was a great reminder for me (and I wanted to pass on to you) to broaden the scope of feedback into the system of the client rather than just relying on the account of one individual.

Happy holidays to all,
David

David:

I’ve used spouses, family members, significant others and teachers (for children) when parents and/or patients are not reporting progress when our trend screens tell us there is improvement.
