TheEppendorf Centrifuge 5425 is the succesor to the highly productive Centrifuge 5424. The microcentrifuge is carefully engineered to be more efficient and much more ergonomic. The Centrifuge 5425 features Eppendorf's QuickLock technology for an easier, more secure rotor locking mechanism. It is equipped with OptiBowl technology so it runs at a whisper quietness.

Note: The Eppendorf 5424 Centrifuge non-refrigerated model has been discontinued and replaced with the new Eppendorf 5425 Centrifuge. The refrigerated Eppendorf Centrifuge 5424 R is available.

Eppendorf Centrifuge 5425 is an improvement on the lab standard Centrifuge 5424. To ensure optimal separation, the Centrifuge 5425 features a Max RC of 21330 x g (15060 rpm) with a base capacity of 24 tubes (2.0 mL).Eppendorf 24-place centrifuge has been engineered to be extremely quiet. The Eppendorf 5425 speeds are designed for centrifugation steps of most routinely used DNA/RNA purification kits. During longer runs the cooling fan works at full capacity to dissipate the heat for the remainder of the run. Centrifuge 5425 is the successor of the legendary Eppendorf Centrifuge 5424. It has everything you loved before plus great new features to make everyday work more enjoyable.

Designed to increase efficiency, the Eppendorf Centrifuge 5425 has improved acceleration and deceleration. There are now 10 acceleration and braking ramps to minimize the time spent in between spins. Furthermore, the Centrifuge 5425 also comes equipped with Eppendorf QuickLock technology for ergonomic and rapid rotor lid locking. The rotor lid can now quickly be securely locked with only a quarter turn. This reduces the time spent preparing the Eppendorf Centrifuge 5425 before a spin and then the time spent removing samples after a spin, all while relieving the repetitive stress on the wrist.

Ergonomic engineering allows the Eppendorf Centrifuge 5425 to sit at a lower loading height for a more comfortable loading experience. The lower profile also allows users to more comfortably exchange rotors as necessary. Eppendorf Centrifuge 5425 also comes equipped with an advanced closing latch that permits users to quickly and easily close the lid rather than needing to heavily push down for a secure closure. The latch is soft enough that only a one-finger push is needed to safely and securely close the centrifuge.

The interior of the Eppendorf Centrifuge 5425 also comes equipped with new technology for optimal performance. The rotor chamber is made of stainless steel to ensure durability and cleanliness. The chamber also includes OptiBowl technology, designed for optimal sound dampening, which means the Centrifuge 5425 operates at a whisper quiet level. The Eppendorf Centrifuge 5425 is also designed with ease of use in mind. The display is easy to read and is user friendly. The interface is simple and designed for quick use, with knobs or a keypad for easy cleaning. Furthermore, the Centrifuge 5425 has various new software additions to improve user accessibility. The display now shows time elapsed since the last run. There are also 3 programmable buttons to quickly access frequently used settings.

These 24-place microcentrifuges have been engineered to be extremely quiet. Short runs up to 12 minutes are whisper quiet at an average noise level of 45 dB(A) and maximum speed of up to 21,300 g. This is sufficient for centrifugation steps of most routinely used DNA/RNA purification kits. During longer runs the cooling fan works at full capacity to dissipate the heat for the remainder of the run. As successors to the popular Centrifuge 5424/5424 R, these two new models include everything you loved about the previous models, plus new rotors and software functions to make your everyday work more efficient and enjoyable.

The comprehensive range of 6 rotors broadens the spectrum of applications of this microcentrifuge. It includes, for the first time, a swing-bucket rotor that accommodates 96 PCR tubes for quick centrifugation of droplets and condensate before and after PCR/qPCR. When harvesting bacteria and yeast, a fixed-angle rotor for 10 x 5 mL tubes with screw or snap caps is ready for you.

The Eppendorf Kit rotor F-45-18-11-Kit enables centrifugation of samples in 18 x spin columns and 1.5 or 2.0 mL tubes at a maximum speed of 18,565 x g. This unique rotor offers a solution for the most common problem associated with working with MiniPrep spin column kits, open tube lids shearing off during elution steps. This problem traditionally occurs because standard rotors do not provide enough support for open tube lids during centrifugation. However, the Eppendorf Kit rotor is designed with an extended rim that serves as a rest for tube caps during centrifugation and protects them from shearing off. Your tube lids will no longer tear off during centrifugation!

The Eppendor Rotor FA-10 x 5 makes harvesting of bacteria, yeast or cell culture in Eppendorf Tubes 5.0 mL and the purification of DNA or RNA and plasmid DNA easy. The adapters which are additionally available also allow the centrifugation of 1.5 or 2 mL tubes as well as HPLC and Cryo tubes without even changing the rotor.
