AT GLANCE
OPEN GOVERNMENT PARTNERSHIP (OGP)
Open Government Partnership (OGP) is a thriving global multilateral partnership of governments and civil societies to make governments more accountable, participatory, and innovative in serving their citizens. With a continuously expanding membership that currently stands at 60 countries, OGP is the first multilateral partnership to find effective solutions in making governments more efficient and responsive, particularly with the use of technology and the strategic
function of co-partnership between governments and civil societies. Essentially, OGP is “diplomacy unusual” in conducting international cooperation.
OPEN GOVERNMENT INDONESIA (OGI)
Open Government Indonesia (OGI) is national movement in Indonesia to make the Indonesian government more open, participatory, accountable and innovative in serving their citizens. Through OGI, the government has committed to implement programs and action plans which strengthen 3 pillars of government openness: transparency, public participation, and innovation. Both government bodies and civil society organizations sit in equal
footings and work in tight collaboration under the OGI Core Team to undertake the responsibility of planning, publicly consulting, promoting, implementing and overseeing OGI programs. OGI programs and innovations aim at responding to citizen pressing needs of public service, such as through LAPOR!, SatuLayanan, SatuPeta, Kompetisi Layanan Publik, and SatuPemerintah among many other. OGI is part of a global movement, Open Government Partnership, which now comprises of 60 member countries and is led by the UK and Indonesia as the Co-Chairs.
MODEL OPEN GOVERNMENT PARTNERSHIP (MOGP)
Model Open Government Partnership is a
replication of Open Government Partnership meetings and operations. It is the first simulation of its kind, arguably the first in the world and fully organized by Open Government Indonesia (OGI) Secretariat. As the organizer, OGI Secretariat aims to introduce youth, in Indonesia and beyond, to the intent and purpose of open government initiative in general, while introducing a new game-changing mode of international cooperation. It is part of our mission to let youth understand the significance of and get engaged in Open Government as they will be the next generations to succeed the government in the future.
In the pioneer year, MOGP invites 40 brightest minds to attend the meeting in Jakarta on October 5-6th, 2013. Senior high school students (3rd year /
12th grader), college students, and fresh graduates from any majors are welcomed to apply. All delegates are eligible to stand for chances to attend the OGP Annual Summit in London on October 2013.
